Of Dreams and Fairy Tales

Once upon a time, there was a princess. She wasn’t me and I have no idea how she would fit into this blog post, but there she is. Did she also have purple hair? Is it relevant to the fact that I do?

No, not really.

I have an event coming up and I’ve never done fashion colors. The opportunity seemed perfect, and I ran with it. I mean, if I can’t do something fun at this age, when can I?

What is this event, you ask?

Well, it’s a story for another day.  Let’s just say that I am about to live an almost life-long dream.  At least it’s life-long since about 1977.

This post is really about dreams and letting them live a full life in your thoughts so that one day they may come true.  It took me a long time to believe in my dreams.  I wanted to be a writer from a very young age but never gained the confidence to go for it until many decades later. Still, I am writing and have been writing (albeit on and off) for a couple of decades now. I’ve written for small publications, had a play produced, and have started (and may someday finish) a novel or three.

I love playing with words.

So, dreams, they are good to have, and we are never too old to believe in them. I know because I (and my purple hair) am about to go live a dream.

And I will write about it when it’s done.

Oh, and that princess? She is definitely relevant to my upcoming adventure.
