Sixty-Thousand Mile Tune-up?

Or how to look forward to a tooth extraction?

I tend to think of my body as a chassis for my soul. Most of you that know me know that I used to be an energy worker. (Okay, technically, I still am.) I assisted in teaching Tai Chi, practiced Reiki and more for many years. I understand that everything and everyone is made up of energy. We’re all interconnected.

Sometimes, of course, we need to put energetic shields up because some people still need to learn how to mellow their energy out.

Seriously, energy-sensitive folks don’t have time for that crazy or negative stuff!

Now, if I haven’t lost you yet, I’ll get back to my original reason for posting.

Where was I? Oh, yes.

Good gravy my chassis needs work! (Hence the 60,000 mile -or 60 year! – tune-up title)

The computer system still glitches from that virus I had in ’20. The fuel system doesn’t always fire on all cylinders, even now.

Those I’m familiar with and have adapted to, but…

Now I’m dealing with axle issues, my interior is overstuffed, one of my cogs (hey, it’s my chassis I can have cogs if I want) lost its cap and needs replacing, the front right handle isn’t functioning correctly and my headlight fluid needs replacing.

For those of you scratching your head, that was brain, energy levels, hips, extra weight, a tooth, my right wrist and my eyes.

For those of you who got it without an explanation, you’re my kind of people!

So, here I am juggling appointments for PT, OT, OD, PCP and an oral surgeon (should that be capitalized?).

Luckily, my PT is awesome. No, I’m not giving you his name without some level of bribery because it’s hard enough to get scheduled with his awesomeness! OT is new, but I am looking forward to my wrist not hurting when I wash my face (but it’s fine picking up a jug of milk…go figure!). My new PCP is wonderful. My eye doctor is fantastic. The oral surgeon…well, who can really like someone that chose to do that job! I don’t care how handsome he is, there’s just something that bugs me about that profession.

So on this snowy day, I’ve decided to find a positive spin to having a tooth extracted and prepped for an implant next week. I’m pre-grateful for:

  • Frozen yogurt
  • Mac ‘n Cheese
  • Smoothies
  • Soup from my favorite Chinese restaurant (and maybe a little tea?)
  • Cream of Wheat with maple syrup (seriously, anything with maple syrup will make me a happy Llama)
  • A Harry Potter movie to fall asleep to.
  • My husband took the day off to take care of me.

Thankful for so many things,

Llama
