I like to start a new book slowly, one or two chapters at a time until I get halfway through and jump in feet first. Not this time. From the very beginning, Highland Spy caught my interest and did not let go. The only thing that kept me from reading every spare moment of the day was, of all things, an eye infection. I even tried sneaking compresses under my glasses so I could try reading with the other eye.
Every twist and turn, heartache and heartbreak, fight and kiss was interrupted by all those things one must do to heal an eye infection. But, oh, the time reading in between eye care was so worth it!
Ms. Martin has crafted a beautiful and captivating story that I will remember for a long time.
