Mara and Alex’s story in Highlander in Her Bed unfolds within rich and heartfelt descriptions of Scotland. The author’s beautifully chosen words brought me back to times when I visited there and fell in love with the country.
The book is filled with elements of fantasy (he is a ghost, after all). There were a few moments when I could hear my old high school teacher saying “Suspend your disbelief!” when my logical self would ask “Wait, should that be able to happen?”
From start to finish this story is a true joy and a well-needed break from the stresses of real life. My advice to readers is to buy the book, suspend your disbelief, and enjoy!
