Book Review: Odds on the Rake by Sofie Darling

What a wonderful and heart-warming story! 

I started Odds on the Rake right before leaving for a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. If not for that, I’m sure I would never have put the book down until it was done. It was that good. 

Ms. Darling has woven a story with great characters and well-plotted twists. It has a few scenes that are spicier than I prefer to read, but they do help move the relationship between Gemma and Rake forward. 

What really struck me, though, were the horses and their relationship with their humans. I have never been a horse person, but I found myself caring as much about the horses as I did the people. 

This book was definitely a treat!
