Him: I caught what’s making you cough.

Me: Aw, you’re snuffy! I’m sorry. Maybe you need to be reprogrammed?

Him: What?

Me: You caught a bug and now you have a head code!

Him:

And this was us, folks. Side by side, we worked on our websites. He really was debugging while I figured out what to post next.

All sneezing aside, there is a reason for our working so hard on our geeky endeavors. We can see retirement on the horizon. For him, there are many years to go. For me, it’s basically here. So, I’ve been doing some research on what is currently being touted as “side hustles.”

That’s when it hit me.

Blogging was mentioned over and over in every article I read. So, all I needed to figure out was how to actually turn it into a small money maker.

Going forward, I will still be be writing my random “Livin’ La Vida Llama ” posts as well as my other blogs as the muse strikes me. This blog will remain focused on adapting to aging, retiring and all the quirks that come along with it. However I will be adding two more subjects that I’m very excited about:

Senior Spotlight (I’m still iffy on that title)

(NH) Flavor of the Month

These will both be monthly additions that I’ve been researching for the past week or so.

(NH) Flavor of the Month will focus on NH food-related businesses as well as flavors people think of when New Hampshire is on their minds. Think maple, apples in the fall, lobster and yes, even Moe’s.

Seriously, how could I not include Moe’s?

Senior Spotlight will start by focusing on people I know that have retired or are considering retiring that have hobbies or callings that bring joy to their lives and those whose lives they touch. I already have a few lined up and will happily take suggestions.

I will happily take suggestions for either of these subjects.

Who knows, you might even have a turn at being spotlighted one of these months!
