Book Review: The Safety of Strangers by Ciji Ware

When you want to get lost in a novel. When you want a strong female lead. When you want a book so well written that when you put it down it stays with you and you can’t wait until you can pick it up again.

This is one of those novels.

Ciji Ware has crafted yet another page-turner. We meet Brook briefly, right in the middle of WWII before we’re swept to the beginning of her story in the theater district of New York. From there we follow her story to Paris on the brink of war taking twists and turns until the war finally ends. Along the way we watch her grow from a self-centered starlet to a woman of courage and ingenuity.

As for Christopher, words fail me at the moment. You’ll just have to “meet” him yourself!.

This book will be released on Tuesday, 9/19/23 and can be found here on Amazon and Barnes & Noble (among other wonderful booksellers!)
