Lighting: Lamps, and Reading Lights, and More!

I’ve had the opportunity to review a few different types of lights. Here are some I liked!

Gritin LED Neck Reading Light

As an avid crocheter, I’m constantly looking for ways to see my stitching under different light conditions. I had been using a craft light overhead, but it gets very warm after it’s been on for a long time. With these wonderful little lights, I get just the amount of light needed directly on my work in progress. They are light and portable, and I take one of them whenever we travel. I love how easy it is to change the types of light as well as brightness.

The Gritin light (above) is the second reading light that I have purchased. The first one (Enclize, and listed below) has a raised power button. When traveling it illuminated the inside of my backpack on a recent trip by mistake. (Gritin has a recessed button!

Enclize comes in different colors and feels slightly more comfortable on my neck.

Both are available through Amazon Prime and are reasonably priced! Either would make a great gift for the yarn worker or book readers in your life!

iKopyal 27.5” Set of 2 Table Lamps

Let me start by saying I love these lamps!

I ordered the green ones for our nightstands and they look lovely! Having the ability to reach over and turn the lamp on/off (or dim) with just a touch of a button is great for this 5’1″ “older” person. No more awkward reaching up and over while bracing on the mattress!

The USB ports are a great touch (no pun intended), too!

The only negatives I have, and they are certainly not deal-breakers are:
If you have weak hands, you may need someone to help you fit the lamp harp (the part that the shade connects to) onto the lamp.

The neck of the lamp is not connected when it arrives and you have to carefully coil the (connected) cord as you connect the neck to the lamp. (again, not easy with a weak hand)
One of the bulbs is a little wobbly inside its fitting. But, it works fine and unless you’re a hapless moth, you won’t be going in there after it’s assembled.

All in all, I love the ways these look and function!

Hensam 138 LED Motion Sensor Under Cabinet Lights

I put one of these at the bottom of our stairs, attached to the bottom of our front door. I used the magnets that came with the lights and it was installed very quickly. I’m still debating where to put the second one, but wherever it goes, I know I’ll be happy with how well it lights and how sensitive it is to motion.

The only drawback I’ve found is that there is a lot of traffic in that location…mostly my cats…so I’ll have to keep replacement batteries for it!

BLS LED Closet Lights Motion sensored Under Cabinet Lights Wireless,

Yes, that is the title of these lights on Amazon!

I ordered these to try in my walk-in closet when the installed light bit the dust. We’re getting it replaced, but these are oh, so helpful in the meantime!

They were easy to install and set up and now will be a great backup if the new closet light stops working.
