I just closed The Duchess Gamble and jumped right into this review. I knew if I waited longer it would be harder to write because once I’ve finished a review, the story is well and truly over.
The dialog between Celia and Gabriel, mixed with the feelings they don’t say aloud builds perfect tension as their chemistry ignites. With each well-placed twist or turn I found myself both surprised and delighted. Mind you, it does have a few scenes that are spicier than I prefer to read, but they intertwine perfectly as their relationship deepens.
Once again, Ms. Darling deftly wove a love story that truly touched this reader’s heart.
