Day 7: The Reset Llama

I didn’t feel like writing yesterday. It was my last full day home alone before my husband returned from a business trip on the other side of the earth. Yesterday, the Llama rested, and it was wonderful.

The reset may not have gone as initially planned, though. I think it went better. It was more like I was focusing on finding myself and realizing I was right here in my house all along! Maybe a week of solitude was just what I needed, and Mother Nature, with her “great storm,” helped provide it.

What did I learn?

Spending time with my best friend the day my husband left and the morning he was due back kept me balanced and grounded.

Solitude can be lovely, but connecting with the people I love is just as important.

No matter what I do or eat, this post-covid fatigue and fog are here to stay. What really matters is how I learn to adapt and live with them.

Simplifying life feels very freeing, and decluttering helped a lot with that. My pantry/closet looks bigger now that I’ve reorganized it. There were only a few expired things in there, too, which was a pleasant surprise.

Writing (almost) every day feels good. Very good. I don’t expect to blog daily, but I inspired myself to get out and about more and find more things to share here.

Doing things in small chunks feels less daunting and helps with my sense of time issues. And I still appreciate making lists and crossing them off.

That’s about it. I’m happy my husband is home safe and sound, and I’m also happy to have had my “Llama reset.”

Living La Vida Llama, one chunk of time at a time!
