A book to get lost in, you say?
Why yes! Laird of Sighs snuck into the corners of my mind and begged to be picked up instead of folding the laundry. I’ll admit it: I let the story carry me away, and the laundry stayed in the dryer for a wee bit longer than it should have.
A perfect sequel to Laird of Lies, Anders and Ailsa’s story is warm and well crafted. I’m sure it would stand just fine on its own, but I would be remiss if I didn’t say to at least read Laird of Lies first. I loved them both and have the first four books in the series lined up to read next!

From Goodreads:
Now that his twin is blissfully married and starting a family, Anders Sutherland longs for the same happiness. Lasses have always favored him, but he refuses to settle for anything less than a love match. Winning a bride worth keeping for life is a challenge he will enjoy—if he survives. When a storm at sea spits Anders onto a hostile shore, he finds himself falling for the spirited lass who nurses him back to health.
The handsome stranger who shows up at Ailsa Sinclair’s clan stronghold captivates her. Is he friend or foe? Her parents and brother, the heir, are away, so the clan’s safety depends on her ruling. Then the stranger collapses at the gate, making the decision for her. As she cares for his injuries, she learns why all the lasses sigh over him, and her spark of attraction to him grows into fevered longing.
But Ailsa soon discovers that no matter how he came to them, Highland hospitality be damned, she should never have allowed Anders inside her walls. Fearing betrayal, he has kept an important secret. He’s the son of an enemy laird. Will she fight to save the man who stole the heart she has so carefully guarded for years, or will she let her family toss him in the dungeon—or worse, back into the sea?
Their clans say they’re enemies, but their hearts disagree.
